The Fragrance Foundation Awards

“ A wonderful evening”, “Such a fantastic night” and “Some incredible winners at the best Awards so far!”, were just a few of the comments received from last night’s UK Fragrance Foundation Awards Gala Dinner.

Known as the ‘Oscars’ of the fragrance industry, the 22nd annual Fragrance Foundation  Awards 2014 took place at one of London’s most popular venues – The Brewery on Chiswell Street.

The glitzy and glamorous event was attended by over 500 industry guests including a host of celebrities such Richard E. Grant, Nancy Dell’Olio, Zoe Hardman and James & Ola Jordan.

The evening started with a Champagne Reception held in the King George III room with music from Tom Barnes Music, where guests mingled before being ushered to the Porter Tun room for a sumptuous Dinner. The room was splendidly decorated with the new design specially created for The Fragrance Foundation by OnlyRoses.

TV news presenter Natasha Kaplinsky compèred the evening’s ceremony for the second year, held in support of the industry’s charity Look Good…Feel Better, and guests were entertained by the fabulous Alesha Dixon, who did performed acoustic songs for us all to enjoy.

The welcoming presentation was given by The Fragrance Foundation UK’s Chairman, Peter Norman, who commented on what a great year The Fragrance Foundation have had. Linda Key, The Fragrance Foundation’s CEO, gave an update on the achievements of The Fragrance Foundation and its aims for the future.

For the last few years, the Fragrance Foundation has presented a special Award for a special contribution to the industry. This year’s award went to Roja Dove; through his work with The Fragrance Foundation Roja has inspired and educated both journalists through his Jasmine training and the fragrance industry through his work with The Fragrance Foundation Academy. Roja has been on The Fragrance Foundation Awards Committee for 5 years and in 2014 became a Board Director.
